Mission 1[]

The game starts off as Captain Renko is riding in a helicoptor toward Katorga-12. Suddenly, out of the blue, an EMP explosion causes the helicopter to spin wildly out of control. The marine in front of you, Devlin, is thrown out. You, however manage to stay on the helicopter. When the helicopter crashed, you find yourself on one of the Katorga-12 docks. The rements of the destroyed helicopter lay next to you. On your radio Devlin is alive and has called for evac. Your new objective is to get to the radio tower for evac. P.S. - A note is on a counter on the docks. Read it to understand.

In order to get to the radio tower, you enter the main entrance of the terminal with a statue of Joseph Stalin's head as a commemorate him but the door to enter the village is locked somehow from the other side. You have to take a detour through the worker's district. P.S. - Explore the terminal.

You walk through a few burnt hallways until you reach a door. You open it and enter the worker's district.

Suddenly, a time-warp explosion appears out-of-nowhere and you are transported back to 1955. The burnt building has become the burning building. You rush to escape from the fire and encounters a man which fell into a hole and was holding on for his life. You rescue the injured man and carry him to safety. You go back to the door you enter before, you kick it and a man from inside a room shouted, "Renko stop! Don't let Demichev live!". After that he got crushed by falling debris. Soon afterwards you came across the same hallways which are burning and heds towards the terminal. You place the injured man at the statue and another man appears and ask him, "Demichev, what did you do?", and he answered, "What did I do? I nearly died in there but fortunately he save me..."

A time-warp appears and you transported back to 2010 on the next day, Oct. 26th. A rainy day.

A statue of an unknown man is in front you which is at the center of the terminal, something's off here....

P.S. Explore the terminal again. Play the tapes.

This time, the worker's district is closed and the door to the village is unlocked. You proceed to the village to find E-99.
